Andrei Shevchenko has resigned as head coach of the Ukrainian national football team.

Axar.az reports that Shevchenko wrote about this on his Instagram page.

"My contract with the Ukrainian Football Federation expired today. It was hard work to prove that we are capable of playing modern football. I thank everyone," Shevchenko said.

It should be noted that Andrei Shevchenko has been leading the Ukrainian national team since 2016.
