Moldovan club apologizes to Azerbaijani people

Moldovan club "Dacia" apologized to the Azerbaijani people and "Kapaz" team in connection with the posting on its website false information about Mardakan settlement of Baku city.

The text with an apology distributed on behalf of the club president Adlan Shishkhanov, who has expressed his excuse for mistake made by the press service "Dacia" FC: "I also apologize the Azerbaijani people, fans and "Kapaz” football club. “Dacia" has never involved in politics. We apologize."

The text also mentioned the amending of a wrong text about Mardakan settlement of Azerbaijan posted on the club's website.

Notably, prior to the game with "Kapaz" team, official website of the "Dacia" has posted information about "Dalga Arena" allegedly located at 34 km from the Armenian village so-called Makrudyan. The text also says that Mardakan has nothing concerning the Armenians, and the settlement is inhabited by Tatars - the descendants of the Caucasian Persians. In addition, before the last game at the press conference, head coach Oleg Bezhenar by mistake instead of Azerbaijan said Uzbekistan and immediately corrected it. Ganja team expressed its dissatisfaction and sent a letter to the opposite side.
