Azerbaijan won its next medal in Islamiad

Azerbaijani athlete Alexis Kopello won a silver medal at the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games held in Konya, Turkey.

Axar.az reports that the 37-year-old athlete, who performed in the triple jump, climbed to the second step of the podium.

This was the 3rd medal won by Azerbaijan in Islamiad. Earlier, Anna Skidan won a gold medal in fencing, and Taekwondo player Hashim Mahammadov won a bronze medal.
