New captain Mbappe scores double, France beat Netherlands

Kylian Mbappe-led France dominated the Netherlands 4-0 to make a flying start to their UEFA EURO 2024 qualification campaign Friday.

Axar.az reports citing foreign media that France's new captain scored two goals, including a late strike against the Dutch national team to be one of the key players in the French victory in a Group B match at Saint-Denis' Stade de France.

This was the first time the Netherlands had lost by a four-goal margin since going down to defeat by the same scoreline against France in Paris in August 2017.
