Azerbaijani karate players won 8 medals in Tbilisi

Azerbaijani karate players successfully performed at the European Championship held in Tbilisi and won 8 medals.

Axar.az reports that 1166 athletes from 49 countries took part in the "European Cadet, Junior & 21 Karate Championship" competition.

Azerbaijani athletes Farid Hajizade (55 kg) and Aslan Dostuyev (61 kg) won gold medals.

Two more of our athletes - Osman Osmanli (+84 kg) and Jahangir Gayibov (+70 kg) won silver medals.

Our athletes Huseyn Mammadli (67 kg), Aladdin Malikov (63 kg), Ravan Abbasov (57 kg), and Vusal Gambarov (52 kg) won bronze medals.

The championship was also successful for our judges. The categories of two Azerbaijani international judges have also been increased.
