4 Greco-Roman wrestlers from Azerbaijan reached the semi-finals of the European Championship held in Bucharest, the capital of Romania.

Axar.az informs that Rashad Mammadov (55 kilograms), Murad Mammadov (63 kilograms), Islam Abbasov (87 kilograms) and Beka Kandelaki (130 kilograms) will compete in the finals.

Athletes will face Nuqzari Tsurtsumia (Georgia), Anvar Allahyarov (AIN), Aleksandr Komarov (Serbia) and Rza Kayaalp (Turkiye) in the semi-finals, respectively.

Another representative of Azerbaijan, Sanan Suleymanov, lost to Croatian Antonio Kamenyasevich in the 1/4 finals. If the opponent reaches the finals, our wrestler will have the right to participate in the consolation matches.

The semi-final matches will start at 20:00 Baku time.

It should be noted that Azerbaijan is represented by 25 wrestlers at the European Championship, which will continue until February 18.
