Stadnik became the European champion for the 10th time

Azerbaijani female wrestler Maria Stadnik became the European champion for the 10th time.

Axar.az reports that the athlete in the 50 kg weight category faced Evin Demirhan, the representative of Turkiye, in the final of the continental championship held in Bucharest, the capital of Romania.

Stadnik won the gold medal by winning over his opponent.

Today, another member of our team, Alyona Kolesnik (59 kg), will also compete in a decisive match. She will try to break the resistance of Alina Filipovich (Ukraine) in the final.

It should be noted that earlier in Greco-Roman wrestling, the Azerbaijani national team won 3 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze medals at the European Championship. Nihat Mammadli (60 kg), Murad Mammadov (63 kg), and Hasrat Jafarov (67 kg) took the first place, Rashad Mammadov (55 kg), Ulvu Ganizadeh (72 kg) took the second place, and Beka Kandelaki (130 kg) took the third place.
