Our national judo won a record number of gold medals

Azerbaijan's national youth judo team made history by winning a record number of gold medals at the international "Masters" tournament held in Bremen, Germany.

Axar.az reports that the Azerbaijan Judo Federation said that our athletes won 4 gold and 3 bronze awards and took first place in the medal ranking, surpassing Japan, Uzbekistan, and Germany.

Mahammad Musayev (66 kilograms), Suleyman Aliyev (73 kilograms), Aslan Kotsoyev (90 kilograms), and Kanan Nasibov (100 kilograms) defeated all their opponents and climbed to the top of the podium.

Babarahim Mirzayev (60 kilograms), Islam Rahimov (66 kilograms), and Tunjay Shamil (90 kilograms) took the third place.

It should be noted that Azerbaijani judokas won 2 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze medal in Bremen last year and took 1st place overall in terms of medals.

It should be noted that Olympic champions Teddy Riner, Takanori Nagase, Mashu Baker, and Aaron Wolf are among the former winners of the "Masters" tournament.
