Gurban Gurbanov won the title of Azerbaijan champion for the 10th time as a head coach.

It was reported that the 52-year-old specialist who won all the titles "behind the steering wheel" of "Karabakh" has renewed his own record.

He won these championships in the last 11 years. The 10th anniversary victory was achieved in the away game against "Kepaz" (6:1) of the XXVIII round of the Azerbaijan Premier League.

Until then, Gurbanov was the architect of the championship of "Karabakh" in the 2013/2014, 2014/2015, 2015/2016, 2016/2017, 2017/2018, 2018/2019, 2019/2020, 2021/2022, 2022/2023 seasons.

Second-ranked Agasalim Mirjavadov has 5 championships: 1993, 1999/2000, 2000/2001, 2004/2005, 2006/2007. Kazbek Tuayev (1993/1994, 1995/1996, 1996/1997, 2003/2004) four, Mehman Allahverdiyev (1994/1995, 1997/1998, 1998/1999) and Buyukagha Hajiyev (2005/06, 2011/12, 2012/ 13) experienced the joy of winning the championship three times each.

Six of the 11 coaches with such success have won the gold medal only once. Ahmed Alasgarov 1992, Valentin Khodukin 2007/2008, Gyoko Hajiyevsky 2008/2009, Kakhaber Skhadadze 2009/2010, Arif Asadov 2010/2011 and Samir Abasov achieved this in the 2020/2021 season.
