Azerbaijani judoka became European champion

Azerbaijani judoka Hidayat Heydarov (73 kg) won the European Championship held in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia.

Axar.az reports that the three-time European champion, who defeated Adil Osmanov (Moldova) in the semi-finals, also won the decisive match.

This time, H. Heydarov beat Danil Lavrentyev (AIN). With this, the leader of the national team entered the history of Azerbaijani judo as the only athlete with a 4-time European champion.

Today, our other representatives - Rashid Mammadaliyev (73 kg) and Zelim Tchkayev (81 kg) performed unsuccessfully.

It should be noted that Balabey Agayev (60 kg) won a silver medal on the first day of the competition.
