The captain of the men's national team of Azerbaijan at the World Chess Olympiad has been announced.

Axar.az informs that this was announced by the President of the Azerbaijan Chess Federation, Mahir Mammadov.

He said that Teymur Rajabov will be the captain of our team in the competition to be organized in September.

Mammadov also said that the team of the national team for the Olympics is known: "The team will include young chess players. Along with Shahriyar Mammadyarov, Rauf Mammadov, Nijat Abasov, Mohammad Muradli and Aydin Suleymanov will be in the team. There are no changes in the composition of the women's team. Gunay Mammadzadeh, Ulviyya Fataliyeva, Govhar Beidullayeva, Khanim Balajayeva and Gulnar Mammadzadeh will take part in the team."

According to the head of the federation, intense training camp awaits both national teams in July and August:

"I hope that our chess players will have a successful performance."

It should be noted that the Olympics will be held on September 10-23 in Budapest, the capital of Hungary.
