The video of the official opening ceremony of the Paris-2024 Summer Olympic Games has been removed from the official website of the games and the YouTube channel.

Axar.az reports that this was announced by Anne Deskam, director of communications of the Summer Olympic Games Organizing Committee.

According to him, this is due to geo-blocking.

The term geo-blocking or geo-blocking is most often associated with restricting access to premium multimedia content such as movies and TV shows on the internet, primarily for copyright and licensing reasons.
