Paris-2024: Azerbaijani judoka won

Azerbaijani judoka Eljan Hajiyev has started competing in the Summer Olympic Games held in Paris, the capital of France.

Axar.az reports that the athlete in the 90 kg weight category faced the representative of Turkiye, Michael Zgank, in the 1/16 final stage.

Having defeated his opponent, Hajiyev advanced to the 1/8 finals.

Note that Paris-2024 will end on August 11. One of the Azerbaijani judokas, Hidayat Heydarov (73 kg) won a gold medal.
