Azerbaijani judoka Ushangi Kokauri has started competing in the Summer Olympic Games held in Paris, the capital of France.

Axar.az reports that the athlete in the weight category above 100 kg faced Rafael Silva (Brazil) in the 1/16 final stage.

Kokauri, who defeated his opponent, qualified for the 1/8 finals.

It should be noted that earlier judokas Hidayat Heydarov (73 kg) and Zelim Kotsoyev (100 kg) were Olympic champions. Paris-2024 will end on August 11.
