Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestler Sanan Suleymanov has started competing in the Summer Olympic Games held in Paris, the capital of France.

Axar.az reports that the athlete in the 77 kg weight class met Ayk Mnatsakanyan, representing Bulgaria, in the 1/8 final stage.

The match ended with a 2:0 victory of our athlete.

Note that Paris-2024 will end on August 11. Until now, judokas Hidayat Heydarov (73 kg) and Zelim Kotsoyev (100 kg) have become Olympic champions. Boxer Alfonso Dominguez (92 kg) secured at least a silver medal by advancing to the final.
