Azerbaijani freestyle wrestler Osman Nurmagomedov has started the competition at the Summer Olympic Games held in Paris, the capital of France.

Axar.az reports that the athlete in the 86 kg weight category faced Bat Erden Byambasuren from Mongolia in the 1/8 final stage.

Nurmagomedov, who defeated his opponent (11:2), qualified for the 1/4 finals. He will meet Miles Amin of San Marino in the next round.
