Axar.az reports that our team, which has 2 gold, 2 silver, and 3 bronze awards, shared the mentioned position with Croatia in the competition table.

Our team's 30th place has gone down in history as the best result in the history of the Olympics. With this, our country surpassed the results of the London 2012 Summer Olympic Games, where it took the 32nd place.

It should be noted that the Azerbaijani judokas Hidayat Heydarov (73 kg) and Zelim Kotsoyev (100 kg) became Olympic champions. Taekwondo player Gashim Magomedov (58 kg), boxer Alfonso Dominguez won silver, Greco-Roman wrestler Hasrat Jafarov (67 kg) and freestyle wrestlers Giorgi Meshvildishvili (125 kg) and Magomedkhan Magomedov (97 kg) won bronze medals.
