Turkish minister criticizes misuse of sports resources

We are aware of the work that all athletes spend to participate in the games. We have always been with them and will continue to be.

Axar.az reports that the Minister of Youth and Sports of Turkiye, Osman Ashkin Bak, said this while evaluating the performance of athletes in Paris-2024.

He accused the sports federations of not using the opportunities created correctly:

"We had athletes who received medals, came close to receiving medals, and especially those who signed the first ones. Although some results give us hope for the future, some results gave important messages. The state provides all kinds of opportunities in the field of sports. As the Republic of Turkiye, we have created opportunities for sports federations at the highest level. These opportunities are not available in many countries of the world. This is not us, but the international sports community. However, the federations that do not use the opportunities we have created correctly will pay for it."
