Aliyev praises Azerbaijani athletes' historic achievement

"Among Muslim countries, Azerbaijan has secured the third place. Considering that there are 57 members in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, I believe this is a remarkable and historic achievement. Evaluating the overall performance of our team, I think our athletes deserve the highest praise."

Axar.az reports that President and National Olympic Committee Chairman Ilham Aliyev said this while receiving Azerbaijani athletes and their coaches who won medals at the XXXIII Paris Summer Olympics on August 14.
