The 42th World Chess Olympiad starts

Today, the 42th World Chess Olympiad will start in Baku.

The event will be held at the National Gymnastics Arena and will start at 19: 00.176 countries have registered to take part in the Olympiad.

Overall 181 men’s and 142 women’s teams will be competing for the championship in Baku. The 42nd World Chess Olympiad in Baku will become a record one by the number of participants.

The competition will end on September 13.

Azerbaijan will be represented by the, three men and three women's teams at the Olympiad.
