Azerbaijan's long jump gold at Paris 2024

Another representative of Azerbaijan, Said Najafzadeh, has won a gold medal at the Paris 2024 Summer Paralympics.

Axar.az reports that the para-athlete competed in the long jump category in the T12 classification.

He became the Paralympic champion with a result of 7.27 meters.

It is worth noting that previously Azerbaijan had 1 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze medal. Raman Saley won the silver medal in the 100 meters backstroke. Earlier, Azerbaijani para-taekwondo athletes Imamaddin Khalilov (70 kg) won gold, and Sabir Zeynalov (58 kg) won bronze.
