Valiyeva to race in Paris Paralympics

Today, an Azerbaijani athlete will compete in the Summer Paralympic Games held in Paris, France.

Axar.az reports that Paralympic and four-time world champion Lamiya Valiyeva will test her strength in the 100 meters sprint in the T13 category.

The qualifying round for this category will start at 13:04, and the final will begin at 21:00.

Currently, Azerbaijan has 2 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze medal. Imamaddin Khalilov (parataekwondo, 70 kg) and Said Najafzadeh (T12, long jump) have won gold, Raman Saley (100 meters backstroke) has won silver, and Sabir Zeynalo (parataekwondo, 58 kg) has won bronze.
