Azerbaijan finished 28th in the Summer Paralympic Games held in Paris, France.

Axar.az reports that our country competed with 19 athletes in 7 sports, earning 4 gold, 2 silver, and 5 bronze medals.

Imamaddin Khalilov (para-taekwondo, 70 kg), Said Najafzadeh (T12 category), and Orkhan Aslanov (T13 category, both in long jump) won gold medals. Lamiya Valiyeva won gold in the 100 meters and silver in the 400 meters. Raman Saleh earned silver in the 100 meters backstroke and two bronze medals in the 100 meters freestyle and butterfly. Sabir Zeynalov (para-taekwondo, 58 kg), Vali Israfilov (100 meters breaststroke), and Ilham Zakiyev (para-judo, +90 kg) secured bronze medals.

Chinese athletes topped the list with 94 gold, 76 silver, and 50 bronze medals. Great Britain came second with 49 gold, 44 silver, and 31 bronze. The United States finished third with 36 gold, 42 silver, and 27 bronze.
