Azerbaijani karatekas win gold and silver at European Cup

Azerbaijani athletes won 1 gold and 1 silver medal at the 2nd European Cup in full-contact Kyokushin Karate, held in Antwerp, Belgium.

Axar.az reports that Aliqismat Hasanov, who won all of his matches, climbed to the top of the podium to take the gold medal.

Anar Bagirov, who was defeated in the final match, settled for the silver medal.

It is worth noting that both karatekas have secured qualification for the World Championship with their successful performances.
