Galatasaray-Adana Demirspor match halted after protest

The match between Galatasaray and Adana Demirspor in the 23rd round of the Turkish Super League was interrupted.

Axar.az reports that this was due to the visiting team leaving the field.

In the 12th minute, the referee awarded a controversial penalty to the goal of Adana. Alvaro Morata put the Istanbul club ahead with a precise shot. The players of Adana Demirspor, who protested the penalty episode, left the field and went to the locker room after consulting with head coach Mustafa Alper Avci.

The final decision regarding the match will be made by the Turkish Football Federation.
