Azerbaijani boxer wins at World Championship

Azerbaijani national team boxer Zeynab Rahimova started the women's world championship in Nis, Serbia, with a victory.

Axar.az reports that Rahimova, who competes in the 54 kg weight category, defeated Armenian representative Yekaterina Sycheva 5:2 in her first fight. She will face Kim Anh Vo Thi in the 1/8 finals.

It should be noted that 6 boxers represent Azerbaijan in the world championship, which will end on March 16. On March 9, Marjona Savriyeva defeated Romanian Mihaela Badescu and advanced to the 1/8 finals.
