Azerbaijan wins 4 golds at European Judo Championships

On the second day of the European Judo Championships for Veterans, held in Riga, Latvia, the Azerbaijani national team won three gold and one bronze medal.

Axar.az reports in the M-4 age category, Babek Hajiyev (60 kg), Vagif Karimov (73 kg), and Emil Huseynov (100 kg) each defeated all their opponents to become European champions.

In the M-3 category, Samir Ismayilov (81 kg) took third place, earning a bronze medal.

It’s worth noting that on the first day of the tournament, Farhad Rajabli (M-8, -90 kg) also won gold.

With a total of five medals (four gold, one bronze), Team Azerbaijan is currently ranked fourth overall among 37 participating countries.
