Azerbaijan held to goalless draw by Latvia in friendly

The Azerbaijani national football team, preparing for the qualifying stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, played another friendly match today.

Axar.az reports that the team coached by Fernando Santos faced the Latvian national team at the “Skonto” stadium in Riga. The match ended in a goalless draw.

The match was officiated by a referee team led by Farrucha Kan Trastin.

It should be noted that the Azerbaijani national team will also play a friendly match against Hungary in Baku on June 10. This will be the team’s final preparatory game for the 2026 World Cup.
