Former UFC light heavyweight title contender Halil Rountree has arrived in Azerbaijan to take part in the main event of the UFC night in Baku on June 21.

Axar.az reports that, according to the Baku City Ring Operating Company, the athlete took a walk in the historical part of Baku, Icherisheher.

Rountree visited the Palace of the Shirvanshahs, climbed the Maiden Tower, and also got acquainted with the art of Azerbaijani carpet weaving. He even participated in the carpet-weaving process.

The main event of the UFC night in Baku will be between former light heavyweight champion Jamal Hill and Khalil Rountree. The second most important fight of the night will be between Azerbaijani representative Rafael Fiziyev and Chilean Ignacio Baxamondes in the lightweight division.

Azerbaijani representatives Nazim Sadikhov and Tofig Musayev will also enter the octagon at the tournament. Their opponents will be Brazilian Nicolas Motta and Kyrgyz Miktybek Orolbay, respectively.
