Netflix has confirmed that Strange Things' fourth season has entered production - and has announced the return of David Harbour's Hopper - imprisoned far from home in Kamchatka.

Axar.az reports citing foreign media that Stranger Things Season 4 has not yet been given a broadcast date - filming is taking place this year and is expected to complete this August. The previous season debuted in October 2019 which means that we could be seeing a similar timeline this year.

To coincide with the reveal, showrunners The Duffer Brothers released the following statement:

“We’re excited to officially confirm that production on Stranger Things 4 is now underway – and even more excited to announce the return of Hopper! Although it’s not all good news for our “American”; he is imprisoned far from home in the snowy wasteland of Kamchatka, where he will face dangers both human... and others."
