Under the instruction of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan – Head of the Military Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan Colonel General Maharram Aliyev, the Minister of Defense Colonel General Zakir Hasanov and the leadership of the ministry have visited the foremost military units.

Axar.az reports citing MoD that after hearing reports on the operational situation on the line of contact of the troops, Colonel General M. Aliyev and Colonel General Z. Hasanov observed the enemy’s forward positions. The Minister of Defense gave relevant instructions to maintain the constant combat readiness of the units.

The Minister of Defense, visiting the front line has met with servicemen serving in combat positions in the direction of the village of Talish and inquired about their service conditions. During the meeting with the military personnel, Colonel General M. Aliyev, speaking about the continuation of activity to fulfill the instructions of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief to increase the combat effectiveness of the Azerbaijan Army and improve the social conditions of servicemen, emphasized that these issues are in the focus of constant attention of the country's leadership.

Then Colonel General M. Aliyev and Colonel General Z. Hasanov, visiting tank units, has met with crews of tanks, checked their combat readiness, and inquired about their service.

In the end, a lunch with the participation of servicemen was organized.
