The increase or decrease of state duties is not within the competence of the State Customs Committee.

Axar.az reports the statement came from the chairman of the State Customs Committee Safar Mehdiyev.

"Important decisions are made by the government, and the relevant bodies implement these decisions. The current fees are based on rules that came into force several years ago. At present, there is no increase in duties. Appropriate measures have been taken next year to exempt hybrid and electric vehicles from VAT. The public will be informed about this issue in the coming days, "Safar Mehdiyev said.
