The construction of the first phase of the Horadiz-Agband railway project, an important part of the Zangazur corridor, has already been completed by 70%.

According to the Working Group on Transport, Communications and High Technologies under the Interdepartmental Center of the Coordination Headquarters for the centralized settlement of issues in the liberated territories established by the relevant Presidential Decree, the rails will be 23 km from the liberated Jabrayil region to Mahmudlu station. and the road has been adjusted.

The length of the Horadiz-Agband railway, which was laid by the President in February 2021, is 110.4 km. The construction work is being carried out in three stages. The first stage is 30 km covering Horadiz, Marjanli, Mahmudlu stations, the second stage is 55 km covering Soltanli and Gumlag stations, and the third stage is 25.4 km covering Minjivan, Bartaz and Agband stations.

The project envisages the construction of 8 stations, 3 tunnels, 41 bridges, 3 galleries, 4 overpasses and a total of about 300 artificial engineering facilities.
