Maria Zakharova could not hold back emotions during the briefing.

Axar.az reports the Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson became emotional while listing the number of children wounded and killed by Ukrainian forces during the briefing.

"In Belgorod region, 88 children have been wounded, and 12 have died. In Kursk region, 24 children have been injured, and four have died. These are the statistics that will serve as the tombstone of the Kyiv regime," the Russian Foreign Ministry representative said.

In her statement, Zakharova specified that at least 1,700 children have been killed as a result of Ukrainian Armed Forces' actions since 2014.
