The latest episode of the "Focus" program has aired on the Euronews TV channel. The report was dedicated to the 12th Global Baku Forum, held in Baku from March 13-15.
Axar.az reports that the report has also been published on the official website of the channel.
"The 12th Global Baku Forum, under the theme ‘Reconsidering the Global Order: Turning Challenges into Opportunities’, brought together high-ranking officials and politicians to discuss major global issues," the channel stated.
The report highlighted that discussions at the forum focused on topics such as the European Union’s expansion and regional security in the South Caucasus.
"Leaders emphasized the importance of stronger international cooperation. Albania reaffirmed its European aspirations, while experts underscored the need for stability in the Western Balkans," Euronews noted.
The channel also aired footage of an interview with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, in which he stressed the importance of establishing a security mechanism for the South Caucasus.
"Of course, it is crucial to protect our region from the crises unfolding around us. Unfortunately, for decades, the South Caucasus has been a region of conflict and hostility. Currently, we are in a relatively peaceful period, and we must focus on this. We need to establish a comprehensive security mechanism that will prevent future military confrontations and aim to coexist as neighbors, as was the case during the Soviet era," the channel quoted Ilham Aliyev as saying.
