On May 9, Russian President Vladimir Putin met with the commanders of the parade units participating in the Victory Parade on Moscow's Red Square.

Axar.az reports that Lieutenant Colonel Samig Rizvan oglu Mammadov, who led the 80-member Azerbaijani parade contingent, was among the commanders.

Putin shook hands with each of the commanders and congratulated them on the holiday.
