Chinese diver survives 5 days in underwater cave

An amateur diver from China’s Hunan province, Wang, managed to survive five days in an underwater cave.

Axar.az reports that the incident occurred on July 19. On that day, Wang disappeared just five minutes after entering a river with his friend.

Rеportedly, while swimming, Wang accidentally entered an underwater cave and, having gotten lost, lost all sense of time and space. He miraculously survived by finding a natural air pocket in the cave that allowed him to breathe. During the entire time, he sustained himself by eating only raw fish.

After the incident, a large-scale search operation was launched involving police, rescue teams, and divers. Once Wang saw a light, he signaled with his flashlight, which led to his discovery shortly after.

After being rescued, Wang’s condition was reported as satisfactory. He was even able to walk to the ambulance on his own. His first request was for a cigarette.
