Forest fires that broke out in the Aude region of southern France have turned 16,000 hectares of land to ash.
Axar.az informs that the French media reported this.
The fires, which have been raging for several days, have resulted in 1 death and 13 injuries.
Due to the rapid spread of the fire, a state of emergency has been declared in the country. The incident has also been recorded as the most devastating forest fire in France in the past 76 years.
