Two villages evacuated as fire spreads in Chanakkale province

Forest fires have broken out in the Gelibolu district of Turkiye’s Chanakkale province.

Axar.az reports that this was announced in the Turkish press.

According to the information, the fire started for unknown reasons in a forested area near the village of Tayfur in the district. At present, two villages have been evacuated due to the fire.

In efforts to extinguish the fire, 12 planes, 12 helicopters, 94 fire trucks, and other equipment are being deployed both from the air and on the ground.
