Asif: We could have gone to war with Afghanistan

‘If there had been no agreement, we had the option to go to war openly with Afghanistan. But I saw that they want peace,’ said Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif.

Axar.az reports that Asif stated this while speaking in Istanbul about the second meeting with Afghanistan.

Asif also stated that during the ceasefire mediated by Qatar and Turkiye, there were no incidents for five days, and both sides adhered to the ceasefire.

It should be noted that tensions have been ongoing between Pakistan and Afghanistan for some time.
