Training plane crashes at Tabriz Airport

A training aircraft skidded off the runway and crashed into one of the side buildings of the airport during landing at Tabriz International Airport, located in the capital of Iran’s East Azerbaijan province.

Axar.az reports that the information was confirmed by Hadi Nejati, the public relations officer of Tabriz Airport.

According to him, the pilot was not injured in the incident:

"The exact cause of the accident is still unknown, and experts from the Civil Aviation Organization are continuing their investigation,” Nejati said.

He added that the fuselage of the light-engine aircraft, belonging to the Shahin Bal Aseman company, was severely damaged.
