Turkish C-130 crashes in Georgia -

A Turkish C-130 military cargo plane has crashed in Georgia.

Axar.az reports, citing the Turkish Ministry of National Defense.

“The C-130 military cargo plane flying from Azerbaijan to our country has crashed in Georgia. Coordinated search and rescue operations have begun in cooperation with Azerbaijani and Georgian authorities,” the statement said.

No information has been released yet regarding casualties or injuries.

According to the Georgian Air Navigation Service, contact with the plane was suddenly lost, and search and rescue operations were immediately initiated following established protocols.

“The Turkish C-130 disappeared from our radar a few minutes after entering Georgian airspace without sending any emergency signals. After the incident, search and rescue measures were immediately implemented by the Georgian Air Navigation Service,” the report added.

It is noted that earlier reports mistakenly mentioned a helicopter crash.
