Twenty-six Russian soldiers were surrounded and killed in Kupyansk.
Axar.az reports that this information was shared by the Russian Telegram channel Kremlyovskaya Tabakerka, citing sources in the Ministry of Defence.
According to the report, the incident occurred after Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov informed President Vladimir Putin about the complete capture of Kupyansk.
“The soldiers, moving in several groups, believed there were no enemy forces left in the city and failed to take the necessary security measures, falling into an ambush. Twenty-six were killed,” the report said.
