Planned gas pipeline sabotage foiled in Moscow Oblast

A planned sabotage of a gas pipeline in Moscow Oblast has been prevented. A Russian citizen has been detained in connection with the incident.

Axar.az reports that this information was released by the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB).

The incident took place in the Serpukhov district. While attempting to install a specially prepared explosive device on the gas pipeline, the Russian citizen was caught in the act.

The agency’s statement notes that the detainee had previously been held in a temporary detention center for foreigners in 2024 for violating migration rules in Ukraine. He was later sent to Russia under the pretext of “deportation,” and his main goal was reportedly to carry out sabotage on the gas pipeline.
