Sumatra tragedy: 950 dead, 274 missing

The death toll from floods and landslides caused by heavy rains on Indonesia’s Sumatra Island has reached 950.

Axar.az informs that this was reported by CGTN Türk.

A total of 274 people have gone missing, more than 5,000 have been injured, and over 156,000 homes have been damaged in the floods and landslides.

Indonesia will need to spend approximately 3 billion dollars to repair the infrastructure damaged by the disaster.
