22 killed in Jakarta building fire

Today, 22 people were killed in a fire that broke out in a seven-storey building in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia.

Axar.az reports that, according to Central Jakarta Police Chief Susatio Purnomo Kondro, the fire has been extinguished, and the discovered bodies have been sent to the hospital for identification.

It was stated that the fire started on the first floor at noon and then spread to the upper floors.

An investigation into the incident is underway.
