Ukraine does not agree to the Trump–Putin plan, which envisions a ceasefire in exchange for the withdrawal of its army from Donbas. Zelensky has taken a clear and firm stance on this issue: “According to Ukraine’s Constitution, international law, and moral law, we have no right to give up our territories.”
Axar.az reports that political analyst Kamran Jafarov made these remarks.
He stated that it is precisely European support that enables Zelensky to resist Trump’s pressure to “withdraw the Ukrainian army from Donbas”:
“This visible support is an extremely important political-diplomatic factor. What does this mean? Trump sees that all Western TV channels show Zelensky together with European leaders, making statements that territorial concessions are unacceptable. Naturally, this shapes public opinion — and that opinion is not in Trump’s favor.
It is this support that disrupts the Trump–Putin plan. Trump’s irritation has reached its peak, and for this reason, he has launched an internal U.S. campaign against Europe. Elon Musk, Steve Bannon, Flynn, Rubio’s deputy Christopher Landau, and others have joined Medvedev and Dugin to unleash a strong wave of criticism against Europe.
In other words, Trump is now trying to pressure not Ukraine, but Europe.
European leaders, meanwhile, smile at Trump, call him a ‘great leader,’ praise his ‘genius,’ and continue doing their own work — rearming themselves.”
