U.S. President Donald Trump announced that a large-scale U.S. operation resulted in the capture and removal of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife.

Axar.az, citing CNBC, reports that the operation reportedly involved the U.S. Army’s Delta Force and was coordinated with U.S. law enforcement.

Maduro’s government has not confirmed the report but posted a video acknowledging attacks in several states, declaring a national emergency, and mobilizing defense forces. Explosions were reported in Caracas early Saturday.
