Senator Mullin leads congressional visit to Azerbaijan -

U.S. Embassy Baku welcomed a bipartisan Congressional delegation led by Senator Markwayne Mullin of Oklahoma to Azerbaijan on January 4.

Axar.az reports that this was announced by the U.S. Embassy in Baku.

"Senator Mullin was joined by Representative Jason Smith of Missouri, Representative Ronny Jackson of Texas, and Representative Jimmy Panetta of California. The delegation met with President Aliyev to discuss opportunities for expanded bilateral political and economic cooperation and lasting peace in the region following President Trump’s historic August 8 White House Summit.

The delegation also visited the Alley of Martyrs and met separately with Defense Minister Hasanov to discuss security and defense issues. These meetings also highlighted the longstanding state partnership program between the Oklahoma National Guard and Azerbaijan, a cornerstone of our bilateral security cooperation," the embassy wrote on X.
