Iran holds talks with demonstrators

The Iranian authorities have acknowledged the protests taking place in the country and have begun a dialogue with the demonstrators.

Axar.az reports that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said this in an interview with Al-Jazeera.

According to him, President Masoud Pezeshkian met with representatives of the protesters in person.

“The government has accepted the protests and held talks with their representatives. The president met with them directly,” the minister said.

It should be noted that Masoud Pezeshkian himself had previously announced that he had met with the protesters.
